Meet your escort at the airport in Toronto prior to departing on an overnight transatlantic flight via London to Nairobi, Kenya.

DAY 2 Nairobi
Arrive this evening at Nairobis Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and after clearing Kenyan Immigration and Customs you will be transferred to Nairobi Serena Hotel.

DAY 3 Nairobi ¨C Samburu
This morning, travel north in comfortable safari minivans through the Kenyan countryside to SamburuGame Reserve, located on the bank of the Uaso Nyiro River. Spend the next 2 nights at the Samburu Serena Lodge where it is not unusual to see crocodiles basking on sandbars in the river in front of the lodge. Samburu is home to many animals such as elephant, black rhino, lion, buffalo, cheetah and the usual antelopes but being north of the Equator, there is some game that is only found in this drier terrain like the Grevy¡¯s zebra, the reticulated giraffe and the Somali ostrich.

DAY 4 Samburu
After breakfast enjoy a full day of game viewing in this harshly beautiful terrain where wildlife abound especially near the river which is their only source of drinking water. Keep an eye out for the unusual long-necked gerenuk, beisa, and now rare hunting dogs. Also visit Shaba National Reserve where the famous conservationist. George Adamson did his research on lions.

DAY 5 Samburu - Mountain Lodge
Set off this morning for the fast growing market town of Nyeri. This is where Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of the Boys¡¯ Scout movement spent the last years of his life. Arrive at Mountain Lodge in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon comfortably watching the animals come to the waterhole and salt lick. Tonight stay up to watch the now floodlit waterhole, which gets crowded with large and small forest animals as they emerge from the darkness.

DAY 6 Mountain Lodge - Nakuru
After breakfast, depart for Nyahururu (Thompson¡¯s Falls), a spectacular cascade of water tumbling over a steep cliff. Then descend into the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park for lunch at your hotel followed by an afternoon drive in the park. Lake Nakuru is the alkaline lake, the breeding ground for the algae on which the thousands of flamingos live. You will also find a variety of antelopes, the Burchell¡¯s zebra, Rothschild giraffe, buffalo. Even leopard has been sighted here , and it is now a sanctuary for the white rhino.

DAY 7 Nakuru - Maasai Mara
En-route to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, spend time bird-watching before arriving at the Mara Serena Lodge in time for lunch. Perched on a series of rocks known as kopjies, this hotel looks out over the vast grassland that is the Maasai Mara. An afternoon game drive will familiarize you with the variety of animals and bird life found in this beautiful park, an endless savannah that sustains so much life. Be on the lookout for black-maned lion for which the Maasai Mara is famous.

DAY 8 Maasai Mara
Spend the day game viewing and exploring Kenya¡¯s finest reserve. You may witness a lion making a kill or a leopard enjoying the meal he has dragged up into the tree with him. Though mostly savannahthat is dotted with the famous dwarf acacias under which giraffes like to feed, there are forested areas near the rivers attracting many of the Park¡¯s 60 species of animals and countless bird including the Maasai ostrich and the secretary bird.

DAY 9 Maasai Mara - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, travel to the border town of Isebania, passing through Tanzanian Immigration and Customs before meeting your Tanzanian driver. Then proceed to Serengeti National Park where you will enjoy a picnic lunch and afternoon game drive en-route to your lodge. Situated on top of Mwambeni Hill, Mbalageti Lodge offers wonderful panoramas of the western corridor of the Serengeti plains and the Mbalageti River.

DAY 10 Serengeti
After breakfast, drive deeper in the Serengeti game viewing throughout the day. As you cross the plains surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, you will pass through the varied habitats and eco-systems that are found in the Serengeti. Arrive later in the day at the Serengeti Serena Lodge with its bee-hive shaped accommodation for a 2-night stay.

DAY 12 Serengeti ¨C Ngorongoro
After breakfast drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. En route, visit the Olduvai Gorge. This archaeological site often referred to as the ¡®cradle of mankind¡¯, is where Dr. Louis Leakey found traces of pre-histroic man dating back to 3.5 million years. Continue on and after enjoying a picnic lunch, arrive at the majestic Ngorongoro Serena Lodge with its stunning views down into the Crater for a 2-night stay. Your evening is at leisure.

DAY 13 Ngorongoro Crater
This morning set off on a half-day visit to the crater floor. Our 4x4 vehicles travel down the steep walls of the Caldera into the primeval paradise of woodland, lake, river, swamp and plain that shelter approximately 20,000 animals. This is a place of overwhelming physical beauty with its abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. The lake in the centre of the crater has many species of water birds, especiallyflamingos. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoying the amenities of the Lodge.

DAY 14 Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Manyara
Depart for Lake Manyara where you arrive in time for lunch at theLake ManyaraSerena Safari Lodge, famous for its lovely views of the Rift Valley. Spend the afternoon at leisure visiting the park, renowned for a large elephant and buffalo populationand tree-climbing lions.
